Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen has been cleared by the team’s medical doctor for the clash against
South Africa later today.
Recall Osimhen missed the Super Eagles trip to Bouake – the venue of the semi-final clash with South
Africa – after suffering abdominal discomfort.
However, reports from Abidjan has revealed that, Osimhen passed a late fitness test and traveled to
Bouake to join up with the rest of the squad.
The 25-year-old has started in all of Super Eagles’ five matches in Cote d’Ivoire, scoring one goal against
Equatorial Guinea and playing crucial roles against the hosts Ivory Coast where he won the decisive
penalty, and setting up Ademola Lookman against Cameroon.
The AFCON semifinal clash between Nigeria and South Africa is scheduled for 6.00pm today Nigerian
time.
