The Nigerian Senate has passed the Student Loans Access to Higher Education Act (Repeal and Re-Enactment) Bill, 2024.

The Senate’s resolution followed its consideration of the report of the senate committee on tertiary institutions and TETFUND, presented by the chairman of the committee, Senator Muntari Dandutse during plenary yesterday.

Our correspondent, Raliat Adenekan reports that according to the new act, beneficiaries of the Fund shall begin repayment as soon as the beneficiary becomes employed in any capacity.
