Rivers United yesterday reclaimed top spot in the Nigerian Football Premier League, following a 1-0 win over Abia Warriors.
Ndifreke Effiong scored the winning goal two minutes before the hour mark. Rivers United now top the standings with 25 points from 13 games.
At the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina United defeated Remo Stars 2-0. Azeez Falolu and Boslam Dawi scored both goals for the Ikon Allah Boys.
In Ibadan, Anthony Okachi scored the decisive goal as Shooting Stars edged Bayelsa United 1-0.
And Former champions Plateau United claimed a 2-0 victory over Nasarawa United in Jos.
Meanwhile, Enyimba International FC game versus Sunshine Stars FC was postponed due to Enyimba’s CAF Confederation Cup engagement.
