As part of President Bola Tinubu’s transformative initiative to revolutionize the transportation landscape and ease the impact of fuel subsidy removal on Nigerians, the Presidency has unveiled two CNG-enabled buses for staff of the state house.
Speaking at the ceremony which took place at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Chairman, Presidential CNG Initiative Steering Committee, Zaccheus Adedeji Represented by CEO, Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, NMDPRA, Farouk Ahmed, said that the buses which runs on compressed natural gas are not just a technical achievement, but a symbol of the present administration’s commitment to spearheading an energy revolution that is economical and towards the generation of employment opportunities for Nigerians.

AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq also applauded the President for taking the bold decision to move from petroleum to gas, observing that gas was cheaper as means of transportation and energy generation.

The launch of the CNG buses is a pivotal step in the nation’s journey towards a cleaner, more sustainable, and economically sound future.
