President Bola Ahmed Tinubu today launched the Electronic Civil Registration and Vital Statistics System (e-CRVS), alongside the National Geospatial Data Repository and the National Coordination Committee on CRVS.
This launch, realized through the collaboration of the National Population Commission (NPC), UNICEF, and Barnksforte Technologies Limited, marks a decisive step toward enhancing Nigeria’s civil registration and vital statistics system, reinforcing the nation’s commitment towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goal for legal identity for all.
President Tinubu who commended NPC and its local partners for the initiative, says accurate information on the size, characteristics, and distribution of the nation’s population is imperative both for planning and for the effective delivery of public services to Nigerians.
