President Bola Tinubu Announces 26 New Federal Appointments Across 10 Government Agencies (Full List)
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved 26 new federal appointments across 10 government agencies and commissions, appointing new chairmen, directors-general, chief executives, and board members. The appointments, which take immediate effect, are aimed at strengthening key institutions across Nigeria.
One of the most notable appointments is that of former Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose, who has been named Chairman of the Rural Electrification Agency (REA). He will serve alongside Alhaji Ahmadu Abubakar and Engineer Ilyasu Ibrahim Makinta, who were appointed as non-executive directors. The board also includes the agency’s Director-General, Abba Abubakar Aliyu, and three previously appointed executive directors.
At the National Salaries, Incomes and Wages Commission, President Tinubu appointed Major General Junaid Bindawa (Rtd.) as Chairman, while former House of Representatives member Olajumoke Okoya-Thomas will serve as Secretary of the Commission.
The President also appointed Dr. Ogbole Ene Lilian (Benue), Oladele Olatubosun (Oyo), and Yakubu Umar Barde (Kaduna) as Commissioners. Other members of the commission include Dr. Mai Adamu Yau (Borno), Ginika Florence Tor (Enugu), Engineer Lawrence Okoh (Edo), and Bello Morenike Iyabode (Kogi).
In another significant move, Tosin Johnson Adeyanju, formerly the Executive Secretary of the National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF), has been redeployed as Secretary of the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
The President also announced the following appointments:
- Dr. Abuh Mohammed – Director-General, National Population Commission (NPC)
- Dr. Akinola Odeyemi – Managing Director, Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading (NBET)
- Dr. Anthony Inalegwu Godwin – Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Nigeria Atomic Energy Commission
- Engineer Julius Oloro – Chief Executive Officer, National Centre for Agricultural Mechanisation (NCAM), replacing the late Dr. A.R. Kamal
President Tinubu also constituted the board of the Fiscal Responsibility Commission, appointing Dr. Abdullahi Maikano Saidu as Chairman.

In the education sector, Shuni Muhammad Dahiru was appointed Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Mass Literacy, Adult and Non-Formal Education, replacing Professor Shu’aibu Shehu Aliyu, who was reassigned to the Petroleum Trust Development Fund (PTDF) in April.
To fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Mathias Byuan, President Tinubu appointed Gisaor Vincent Iorja as Executive Director (Finance) of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA).
Iorja is an economist, legal scholar, academic, and currently serves as Secretary of the Benue State Independent Electoral Commission (BSIEC).

According to the Presidency, all 26 appointments take immediate effect.
