The Director General of the Bureau, Captain Alex Badeh who stated this when he Paid a courtesy visit to the Headquarters, Nigerian Navy in Abuja, maintained that the visit will paved way for expediting the delivery and implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding being developed to stimulate closer ties between both institutions

Meanwhile, the NSIB says it has commenced investigation into the runway overrun incident involving XeJet Airline’s Embraer 145 aircraft which occurred on Saturday 12th may at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport Lagos.

In a statement by its Director, Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Mrs. Bimbo Olawumi Oladeji noted that there were no reported injuries or fatalities as a result of the incident although the aircraft sustained damages on its nose landing gear and main landing gear tyres, while the control data, cockpit voice recordings, and flight data recorders have been retrieved and will be downloaded and examined.
