NCDC caution Nigerians on the spread of cholera

Nigeria Centre for Disease Prevention and Control is warning that beverages, ice, and drinks prepared with unclean or contaminated water can spread cholera.

The NCDC raised the alarm on its X handle today, and urged Nigerians to protect themselves and their loved ones by not consuming foods or drinks prepared with water from unreliable sources.

Earlier, its Director General, Dr. Jide Idris, had disclosed that the agency is conducting a risk assessment, and assisting states to respond to the outbreak, with Cholera cases reported from at least 96 Local Government Areas in 30 states.
