The Military high command has revealed that it is rejigging its ongoing operations in the Niger Delta Region of the country against crude oil theft that have defiled solutions for decades.
The Director of Defence Media Operations (DDMO) Maj. Gen Edward Buba in a statement today noted that the redesigned strategy aims to curb the menace of crude oil theft through a comprehensive approach.
According to him, Troops have been engaged in dismantling the capabilities of the economic saboteurs for some years now without it abating.
On some of the seizures within the week, the General said, during the week under review, troops neutralised 125 terrorists and arrested 200 persons, arrested 20 perpetrators of oil theft and rescued 140 kidnapped hostages amongst several others.
