The Speaker of the Lagos state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Mudashiru Obasa has assured the governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the people of Lagos that the Lagos state 2024 budget will be ready by the 1st of January, 2024.

Rt. Hon Obasa made the pledge when Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu visited the speaker at the ongoing three days retreat on the 2024 budget for Lagos state by members of the Lagos State House of Assembly holding in Abuja.

The speaker assured that the working relationship between the executive and the legislature is cordial and that the members are in Abuja to critically analyze the budget promising it will be the New Year gift for lagosians, noting the Lagos state house of Assembly has been a leading example among state legislature in the country.

Responding, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu while commending the members for their hard work and support thus far, encourage them to keep the work of excellence they have ever been doing stressing that many have commented on the Lagos state budget as next to the federal government owing to the crucial role Lagos play in the economic vibrancy of the country.
