The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has announced it would
withdraw Miss Ejikeme Mmesoma’s actual result and bar her from sitting for its
examination for the next three years.
In a statement, JAMB’s Acting Director, Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr Fabian
Benjamin, after making public the candidates actual 249 Unified Tertiary
Matriculation Examination (UTME) result, insisted that the copy for 362 being
paraded by the 19-year old “is patently fake”.
Miss Mmesoma, a student of Anglican Girls Secondary School, Uruagu, in Nnewi,
had in a viral video afterwards, denied manipulating her result and insisted there
might have been a possible technical malfunction from JAMB’s system.
But the JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, in a separate interview yesterday said
the Board had actually concluded investigations on the case of Miss Mmesoma, and
there is internal evidence to show that the change in her scores was done with her
collaboration, as there are certain features pertaining to her that only her knows,
making it impossible for her scores to have been increased without her knowledge.
