In its continuous effort to ensure a credible general election come 2023,
the Nigerian Police Force, NPF says the force will continue to work with other
security agencies to provide water tight security before, during and after the
2023 general election.

The force public relations officer CSP OLUMUYIWA ADEJOBI who made the
assurance during a press conference at the force headquarters Abuja, noted
that the inspector general of Police IGP Usman Alkali Baba is organizing a
CONFERENCE AND RETREAT FOR SENIOR POLICE OFFICERS SCHEDULED
FOR 31ST OCTOBER TO 2ND NOVEMBER 2022 OWERRI, IMO STATE aimed at
training officers across all board to enhance their capacity to respond to
threats ahead of the forthcoming 2023 general elections.

Our correspondent Nathan Williams reports that while fielding questions from
journalist, the Force PRO CSP ADEJOBI called on the continuous cooperation
of citizens and political actors with regards to guild lines that will bring about a
successful general election.

The 3rd Edition of the Strategic Conference and Retreat for Senior Police
Officers with the theme ‘The Imperative of a Nigeria Police Strategic Plan for
Peaceful Elections’ holding in Owerri the Imo state capital from Monday, 31st
October to Wednesday, 2nd November, 2022 will have President Muhammadu
Buhari deliver the keynote address as other dignitaries will also be present.
