FG begins demolition on Lagos-Calabar highway

News

The demolition of properties along the right of way of the Lagos /Calabar coastal highway construction has commenced.

At the Flag off of the demolition exercise, the minister of works, Engineer Dave Umahi ordered that the beach be shut down to give right of way to the construction, noting that no infrastructure belonging to Oniru was touched nor will be touched, other than the shanty around Mami Chula beach Lifestyle.

The minister however asked Nigerians to disregard the politics of Landmark property which delayed the commencement of the demolition exercise.

He explained that documents provided by the owner of Mani  Chula Beach Lifestyle, Mr Bolaji Ariyo revealed that he strayed into government land and has been using it for years.
