The Federal Government through the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), has its Amnesty’s Scholarship programmes, and announced the successful settlement of academic bills for all beneficiaries, including both local and foreign students.
The PAP Interim Administrator, Major General Barry Ndiomu (rtd), who made the disclosure yesterday in Abuja while he played host to the President of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC) Jonathan Lokpobiri, cited concerns over underutilized opportunities in the Niger Delta region, highlighting the vast potential for rice farming and the untapped possibilities in oil palm production in the Niger Delta region.
Earlier in his address, the President of the Ijaw Youth Council (IYC), advocated for an upward review of the allocation accruable to the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) from the Federal Government’s purse, and also called for a strict intervention support from the Federal Government for PAP to meet up with current realities.
