News

The Abuja Electricity Distribution PLC (AEDC) has threatened to disconnect the electricity supply to the Presidential Villa, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and 83 other government agencies in Abuja, over N47.1 billion electricity debt.

In a disconnection notice on Monday, the distribution company urged the 86 MDAs to settle their outstanding debts within 10 days to avoid the possibility of experiencing a blackout beginning on February 28, 2024.
