President Tinubu has ordered the immediate suspension of Dr. Betta Edu as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

A press statement issued yesterday, by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, said the President further directed the Executive Chairman of the EFCC to conduct a thorough investigation into all aspects of the financial transactions involving the MINISTRY, as well as one or more agencies thereunder.

Dr Beta Edu was also directed to hand over to the Permanent Secretary of her Ministry with immediate effect.
