Chairman of the Committee on Banking, Insurance & Other Financial Institutions, Sen. Adetokunbo Abiru representing Lagos East, noted however, that a nominee Urum Kalu Eke declined the offer stating that he was currently engaged in the World Bank.

Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, providing clarity for Eke’s absence during the screening, told his colleagues that the nominee had informed him that taking the job will be in conflict with his current engagements, adding that the nominee is currently a consultant to the World Bank and other global business entities hence his reason to decline the offer.
