NFF Adds New Players to Super Eagles Squad for Friendly Matches

Sports

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced the inclusion of two new players in the Super Eagles squad ahead of two upcoming friendly matches scheduled for March.

Gabriel Osho, a defender based in England, and Benjamin Tianimu, who plays in Tanzania, will join the national team for the first time.

The Super Eagles are set to face Ghana’s Black Stars on March 22 and Les Aigles of Mali on March 26 in two high-profile friendly matches in Marrakech, Morocco, later this month. The addition of Osho and Tianimu brings fresh talent to the squad as they prepare for these crucial fixtures.

Ademola Olajire, the Director of Communications for the NFF, confirmed that Nigeria has retained the core of the squad that finished as runners-up at the 34th Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

However, several players have been recalled, including England-based defender Jamilu Collins, Tyronne Ebuehi from Empoli FC in Italy, and Cyriel Dessers from Glasgow Rangers. Additionally, Nathan Tella from Bayer Leverkusen in Germany and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru based in Turkey have been given opportunities to showcase their talents and secure permanent spots in the team.

With these new additions and the return of experienced players, Nigeria aims to deliver strong performances in the upcoming friendly matches and continue building momentum towards future tournaments.
