The National Assembly has vowed to complete electoral reforms ahead of the off-cycle elections coming up this year. The President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, who gave the assurance today during delivery of his oppening speech upon resumption of lawmakers from the Christmas break, emphasized
 that the foundation of every thriving democracy is viable electoral reforms, adding that it is not just a legislative duty; but a moral imperative.Â
Our correspondent, Raliat Adenekan reports that the Senate President urged his colleagues in the 10th National Assembly to rise up to their responsibility to gift the Nigerian people a system that is transparent, credible, and reflective of their will.Â
The Senate President further stated that the National Assembly is working assiduously to conclude work on the 2025 Appropriation Bill which is already before the relevant committees.Â
