The Federal Executive Council today (Monday), approved the 2024 Appropriation Bill of 27 trillion, five hundred billion naira, an increase of one-point-five-trillion naira earlier estimated.
Briefing State House Correspondent at the end of FEC meeting presided by President Bola Tinubu, the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Atiku Bagudu disclosed that the revenue forecast is now 18.32 trillion, as against the 2023 revenue projection.
Our Correspondent, Raliat Adenekan reports that the Minister of Budget added that the details of the 2024 Appropriation Bill will be presented to the National Assembly by Mr President on Wednesday.
The Minister equally revealed that Mr President made a few adjustments to the Medium Term Expenditure and Fiscal Strategy Paper, MTEF/FSP last week approved by the National Assembly, noting that the exchange rate is now pegged at 750 naira to the U.S. dollar and a Crude Oil Benchmark of 77 dollars, ninety-six Cents higher than earlier figures.
