The United States will send advanced weapons to Ukraine through NATO allies, according to President Donald Trump.
Speaking after a meeting with NATO chief Mark Rutte in Washington, Trump also issued a warning to Russia, threatening severe tariffs if a peace deal isn’t reached within 50 days.
Rutte confirmed that NATO would coordinate the delivery of weapons and that European nations will cover the cost.
The support package includes Patriot air defence systems and other equipment, although neither leader specified full details.
Trump described the aid as “top-of-the-line weapons” worth billions, set to be rushed to the front lines.
