President Tinubu meets Kwara Governor amidst Woro village attack, vows Total War on Terrorists

President Bola Tinubu on Thursday met with the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, to receive a detailed briefing on the recent deadly attack by suspected Boko Haram terrorists in Woro community in Kaiama Local Government Area, where over 100 innocent citizens killed and properties burnt.

The President who condemned the deadly assault in the strongest terms, emphasized that the Federal Government will not hesitate to use all lawful means to crush barbaric groups threatening peace and unity of the nation.
Earlier in response to the dastard attack, President Tinubu had announced the immediate deployment of an Army battalion to Kaiama LGA, establishing a new military command to lead Operation Savannah Shield, aimed at checking the spread of terrorism, restoring security, and protecting vulnerable communities in the area.

The President also ordered close collaboration between federal and state agencies to deliver immediate relief to the affected community and to ensure the perpetrators are hunted down and brought to justice, as well as extended condolences to the families of the victims.

Addressing State House Correspondents after the meeting with President Tinubu, Governor AbdulRazaq of Kwara state expressed satisfaction with the support from Mr President, adding that all would be done to bring the perpetrators to book and to restore peace in the community.
