President Bola Tinubu on Monday arrived in Ankara, the capital of the Republic of Türkiye, on a State Visit aimed at deepening bilateral relations and advancing Nigeria’s economic and security interests.
The President was received at Ankara Esenboğa Airport by a Turkish government delegation led by the Minister of National Education, Yusuf Tekin, alongside officials of the Nigerian Embassy in Türkiye.

According to a statement by Presidential Spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu’s visit focuses on expanding cooperation between Nigeria and Türkiye in key areas including trade, investment, defence, energy, solid minerals, technology, and education. The engagements are expected to support Nigeria’s economic diversification efforts, attract investment, and strengthen security collaboration.
During the visit, President Tinubu will hold talks with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, with several Memoranda of Understanding scheduled for signing to enhance mutually beneficial partnerships.
