World Bank Gives Nigeria $50m To Support Food Nutrition Challenges

In a related development, the World Bank has approved $50m to support Nigeria’s food nutrition challenges.  Its Country Director, Ndiame Diop, who announced this during a meeting with Vice President Kashim Shettima, said the $50m, was earmarked under the Accelerating Nutrition Results in Nigeria project 2.0 programme which is a crisis response window.  Vice President Shettima then reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to addressing its growing nutrition challenges through a community-driven strategy, called N-774 Initiative, aimed at transforming nutrition outcomes across Nigeria’s 774 LGAs.
