The Federal High Court in Abuja has imposed a ₦5 million fine on Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, for contempt of court.
Justice Binta Nyako found that the suspended senator disobeyed a previous court directive by posting a satirical apology directed at Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
The court has now mandated that Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan publish a formal apology in two national dailies and on her Facebook page within seven days.
