The Nigerian Senate has officially confirmed Professor Abdullahi Usman as the substantive Chairman of the Hajj Commission.

The confirmation of Usman’s nomination followed the consideration and adoption of the report of the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs, chaired by Senator Abubakar Bello on Thursday, stating that Usman merited being appointed to head the nation’s apex Hajj Body.

Sen Abubakar said the committee did not receive any petition against him and he had been cleared by security agencies, presented his tax clearance, code of conduct acknowledgement slip.
