Police Dismiss Viral Claims of Herdsmen Attack in Rivers

The Rivers State Police Command has dismissed a viral video claiming herdsmen attacked communities in the state. Police spokesperson Grace Iringe-Koko said the footage was fake and created to stir panic.

She confirmed that no such attack happened anywhere in Rivers and urged residents to stop sharing unverified content that could cause fear or damage the state’s reputation.

The command assured the public that security agencies are actively patrolling and monitoring the state to maintain peace. Residents were encouraged to stay calm, remain alert, and rely on official sources for accurate information.
