President Bola Tinubu has officially launched the Nigerian Youth Academy (NIYA), a programme aimed at empowering young Nigerians and to support youth development in the country.
Represented by the Vice President Kashim Shettima at the launch of NIYA, which held at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, in Abuja, President Tinubu said the Academy will equip youths with the skills, knowledge and opportunities they require to compete globally, noting that the academy will focus on three critical areas, namely education and skills development, economic empowerment, as well as leadership and civic engagement.
Our correspondent Raliat Adenekan reports that the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, who revealed that the all youth-inclusive initiative is free of charge, affirmed that the establishment of NIYA underscores the determination of President Tinubu administration to help all youths build a better life for themselves and their families.
