A suspected notorious kidnapper, Abubakar Ali Damina, accused of terrorizing the communities of Igalamela-Odolu Local Government Area, has been apprehended.

Damina, 43, was captured during a joint security operation at Ofodo village, near Igabada in Kogi State.

Found in possession of a single-barreled Dane gun, charms, a gun firing cap, and local bullets, the suspect, originally from Bida in Niger State, reportedly confessed to his involvement in criminal activities in Kogi State during interrogation.

Mohammed Aminu, speaking on behalf of the council boss, Barr. Cosmos Atabor, confirmed the arrest, stating that Damina is currently detained at the Kogi State Vigilante Service facility in Igalamela-Odolu and will be handed over to the appropriate authorities soon.
