The NNPC Retail Limited confirms that its attention has been drawn to a recent video clip on social media, concerning its fuel pump attendant pressuring customers to purchase lubricants as a prerequisite for purchasing fuel.

Its Managing Director, Mr Huub Stokman, who made this known on Sunday, said the company had launched an investigation into the unfortunate incident and appropriate disciplinary action would be taken against the culprit(s).

Stockman explained that customers were not obligated to purchase lubricants or engine oil or other products as a precursor to buying Petrol at all NNPC Retail filling stations, and advised the public to disregard the information in its entirety and report any such occurrences to the appropriate authority.
