Meanwhile, some Nigerians still took to the streets to protest against bad governance.
In Abuja, the Police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, denied attacking the October 1 protesters in Utako, explaining that the operatives only took proactive measures to prevent looting.
In Delta State, residents however shunned the protest, as people went about their normal activities freely.
In Rivers state, alleged thugs took over the Port Harcourt Pleasure Park, which was the convergence point used during the August #EndBadGovernance protest.
And in Lagos, the peaceful protest closely monitored by security personnel, was joined by a former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, at the Ikeja Underbridge and Freedom Park in Ojota.
The protest tagged “Fearless In October”, comes about two months after the August #EndBadGovernance protests.
