Governor Umar Bako of Niger State says his administration is working to engage more women in governance, noting that under his watch all the local government Council vice chairpersons will be female.
Governor Bako while fielding questions from newsmen after he had a private meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja, said already, an executive order is in place to have females as Secretaries of Vice Chairmen of Local Government Councils and if need be, his administration will exceed thirty-five percent affirmative action.
