According to a statement by the Director of Naval Information, Commodore Adams-Aliu,
on July 4, six illegal refinery sites were uncovered in Ogba, Egbema, and Ndoni communities of Rivers State. The sites held approximately 66,000 litres of suspected crude oil and 40,000 litres of illegally refined Automotive Gas Oil (AGO).
In total, the Navy’s July operations denied oil thieves access to over 411,400 litres of crude oil, 87,825 litres of AGO, 72,000 litres of DPK, and 21,900 litres of PMS.
