Manchester United Edge Everton 1‑0 to Move Into Fourth Place

Manchester United climbed back into fourth place in the Premier League on Monday after edging Everton 1‑0 at Goodison Park.

Slovenian striker Benjamin Sesko came off the bench to score the decisive goal in the 71st minute, finishing a quick counter‑attack to secure the win and extend United’s unbeaten run under interim manager Michael Carrick.

The victory marked United’s fifth win in six games under Carrick, lifting them above rivals Chelsea and Liverpool in the battle for a top‑four finish and a Champions League spot next season.

Goalkeeper Senne Lammens also played a key role, keeping a clean sheet on the road with a series of important saves.

Everton pushed for an equaliser but couldn’t break through, leaving them still searching for consistency at home.
