JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, broke down in tears yesterday as he publicly apologized for errors in the 2025 UTME.
Speaking at a press conference, Oloyede took full responsibility for technical glitches that disrupted exams for nearly 380,000 candidates, and assured Nigerians of the board’s continued commitment to fairness and transparency.
He assured that the 379,997 affected candidates would be communicated through Short Message Service (SMS) today Thursday, so that they could reprint their slips for rescheduled examinations on Friday and Saturday.
Despite the setback traced to a software failure by a service provider, affecting 65 centers in Lagos and 92 in Owerri, JAMB recorded its highest score in 15 years—374.
