French President Emmanuel Macron has denied rumors of a “domestic dispute” with his wife, Brigitte, after a viral video showed her pushing his face as they arrived in Vietnam.

Macron clarified they were “joking as we often do,” dismissing it as harmless fun.

The incident, caught on video, showed Brigitte’s arms emerging from the aircraft door to shove Macron’s face, though she remained off-camera.

Macron’s team called it a lighthearted moment, criticizing conspiracy theories—especially from pro-Russian accounts.

The visit marks the start of Macron’s Southeast Asia tour, including stops in Indonesia and Singapore.
