FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, has confirmed that the final of the 2026 World Cup on 19th of July will feature a half-time show for the first time in the tournament’s history.
Infantino also revealed that the World Cup would “take over” Times Square during the final and third-place match.
FIFA president, Gianni Infantino, told a press conference yesterday that Coldplay lead singer, Chris Martin, and band manager, Phil Harvey, will help to establish a set of artists to perform in the 15-minute break at next year’s competition to be held across 16 cities in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.
The introduction of a half-time show will see the World Cup adopt a tradition similar to the spectacle at the Super Bowl.
