The Federal Government has declared that all visa applications will transition to an entirely online system by March 1, 2025.

Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who disclosed this during an interview on ‘X Spaces’ hosted by influencer Dr. Segun Awosanya, stated that the initiative aims to streamline visa processes, enhance security, and eliminate corruption.

Highlighting the government’s progress, Tunji-Ojo also pointed to the creation of a harmonized data center at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Technology Innovation Complex, situated at the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) headquarters in Sauka, Abuja.
