Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has denied viral reports claiming he stated which region should produce Nigeria’s president in 2027. He described the claims as false and misleading.

El-Rufai said he never made such remarks in any speech, media interview, or on his verified social media platforms. He stressed that people should not attribute views to him unless he has clearly expressed them himself.

He urged journalists and the public to verify information before sharing, warning that fake news harms public discourse and fuels irresponsible politicking.
