Edo Queens, Nigeria’s representative at this year’s CAF Women’s Champions League, WCL in Morocco, got their debut campaign off to a perfect start as they thrashed CBE of Ethiopia 3-0 in their first game in Group B on Sunday.
Goals from Emem Essien, Folashade Ijamilusi and Chukwuamaka Osigwe sealed the comfortable win for the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) champions.
Edo Queens will in their second group game on Wednesday, November 13, face fellow debutant FC Masar of Egypt, who stunned two-time Women’s Champions League winners Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa 1-0 in their opening fixture.
