Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced its petrol price to ₦867 per litre, a ₦13 decrease, following a meeting with Nigeria’s Minister of Finance Wale Edun on Tuesday.
This reduction is expected to lead to lower pump prices at filling stations, with some expected to sell petrol at around ₦910 per litre.
The price cut is a result of the refinery’s agreement with the government to sell crude oil in naira, rather than dollars, a policy aimed at reducing strain on the US dollar and stabilizing fuel prices.
