Customs Begins Zero-Tariff On Imported Pharmaceutical Inputs

Nigerian Customs Service has begun implementing a two-year exemption on import duty and Value Added Tax (VAT) for key pharmaceutical raw materials.

Its National Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Maiwada, who announced this however clarified that only manufacturers of pharmaceutical products recognised by the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and who possess a valid Tax Identification Number are eligible for the incentive.
