Commissioner of police CP Ajao Saka Adewale officially took over the leadership of the Command from AIG Olatunji Disu, on March 26, 2025, following AIG Disu’s elevation and redeployment.
CP Ajao Saka Adewale who is the 33rd Commissioner of Police in charge of the Command, is an astute law enforcement officer with an illustrious career spanning over 30 years. Born on November 28, 1968, in Boripe LGA of Osun State, he enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force on June 10, 1994, after obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography Education from the University of Ilorin.
In a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, FCT Command, SP Josephine Adeh, upon his enlistment, CP Ajao underwent training at the prestigious Nigeria Police Academy, now in Wudil, Kano, before beginning his policing career at ‘D’ Divisional Headquarters, Oyo State Command. Since then, he has served in various capacities across different formations.
As he assumes duty, CP Ajao S. Adewale, assures residents of his unwavering commitment to maintaining law and order, ensuring the safety of lives and property, and fostering a robust police-community relationship in line with the vision of the Inspector General of Police.
