Vice President Kashim Shettima has described the late former President Muhammadu Buhari as a man who pursued justice with sincerity throughout his life and continued to inspire even in death.
Speaking on Thursday during the third-day Fidau prayer in Daura, Katsina State, held for the repose of Buhari’s soul, Shettima said the former president was often misunderstood but remained committed to fairness and truth.
Shettima, who led a high-powered federal government delegation to Daura, conveyed President Bola Tinubu’s appreciation to Katsina State Governor Dikko Radda for the warm reception and support extended to the visiting officials.
Governor Dikko Radda, while speaking at the prayer session, described Buhari as a sincere leader who gave selfless service to the nation.
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, appealed to Nigerians to continue praying for Buhari’s soul, reiterating the clerics’ reminder that remembrance through prayer is vital.
The Fidau prayer was led by former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Pantami, who called for consistent prayers for all departed souls.
