The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, today, said that President Muhammadu Buhari has not acted in breach on the case instituted at the Supreme Court by some state governors over the naira swap deadline.
Malami who revealed this while fielding questions from newsmen during the weekly ministerial briefing at the presidential villa said as far as the rule of law is concerned, there are many options available to explore.
The president had on Thursday 16th of February in a national broadcast directed the CBN to re-circulate ONLY the old 200 denomination of the naira, thereby extending the validity of the notes for another 60 days to April 10 2023, in contrary to the supreme court’s pronouncement on the matter.
