wenty-seven State Houses of Assembly have forwarded their resolutions on 35 constitution amendment bills to the National Assembly.
The Upper Chamber directed the Clerk to the National Assembly to transmit the 35 bills that have so far met the requirement of the provision of Section 9(2) of the Constitution to the President for assent.
Ekiti senator Opeyemi Bamidele, who presented the report, said 9 states have not forwarded their resolutions on the bills.
Our Correspondent, Raliat Adenekan reports that the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan appealed to the remaining states to send theirs as soon as possible.
The 35 bills have been considered by 27 State Houses of Assembly (SHA) and approved by at least 24 state assemblies as required by law.
